Bassler authors farm tax relief bill

State Sen. Eric Bassler, R-Washington, recently authored legislation with State Sen. Brandt Hershman, R-Buck Creek, to provide tax relief for Indiana farmers. Senate Bill 308 will reduce the rampant growth of farmland assessed value, providing much needed financial relief to Hoosier farmers, according to a news release from Bassler's office.
