Ceremony recognizes completion of U.S. 40 project

There was celebration Tuesday as officials of the Indiana Department of Transportation, local elected officials, members of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce and Brazil Main Street gathered at City Hall to officially recognize the completion of U.S. 40 through Brazil. “Crews will be putting the finishing touches on the project over the next few weeks,” stated INDOT spokesperson Debbie Calder in a news release. “Motorists are reminded to drive slowly and safely through the area while workers are present.”
