Violent Federal Prisoner in Terre Haute Sentenced to Additional 27 Months in Prison for Possessing Improvised Knife

TERRE HAUTE- David Piparo, 62, of New York City, has been sentenced to an additional 27 months in federal prison after being found in possession of a weapon in prison. According to court documents, in 2012, Piparo was convicted of 3 commercial robberies and using a firearm during a crime of violence. He was sentenced to 22 years by a federal judge in the Southern District of New York. He has been serving his prison sentence at the Terre Haute Federal Correctional Complex inmate since 2021...

UPDATE 072123 @ 11:44 a.m. - According to the Brazil Police Department and the family, Haileigh Royse has been found. . The search for two teenage runaways is now a search for one. Haileigh Royse and Landon Skinner, both 16, were reported missing Monday evening. Royse was last seen at 9 p.m. while getting ready for bed at home. Her parents discovered a bedroom window screen removed and the window open the next morning. Skinner was supposed to be staying with a friend on Monday but left sometime in the middle of the night...
