Speaking about Saturday morning’s Class 3A Monrovia Regional semifinal against Hamilton Heights, Northview head volleyball coach Scott McDonald compared the two-hour, five-set thriller to a rollercoaster ride and a heavyweight boxing match. The analogies were spot on as the Knights and Huskies experienced just about every emotion that’s humanly possible throughout the day, which resulted in Hamilton Heights winning the winner-take-all fifth and final set by a score of 15-13 to win the match 3-2 despite Northview leading 2-1 after three sets.. ...
