DNR award grants to support rural & volunteer fire departments

Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) awarded more than $454,000 in Volunteer Fire Assistance grants to 101 rural and volunteer fire departments from 58 counties in the state. The following Clay County fire departments received grants; Center Point Volunteer Fire Department - Center Point Assistant Chief Zeph Smith said the department plans to use the grant funding in several things, including; handheld and helmet lights for firefighters, woodland fire hose and extinguishers, and woodland backpack water extinguishers.. ...
